What is SPRAVATO®
A different mechanism, for depression that hasn't responded to the usual ones.
SPRAVATO® is an FDA-approved prescription nasal spray used in combination with an oral antidepressant for adults with treatment-resistant depression (TRD). Unlike traditional antidepressants that primarily target serotonin, SPRAVATO works through different pathways in the brain.
It is not a standalone treatment — it’s prescribed and monitored alongside your existing oral antidepressant, under direct psychiatric supervision.
Some patients report improvement within days of starting treatment, although individual results vary and response times differ from person to person. SPRAVATO is not a guaranteed or immediate cure for depression.
What is SPRAVATO®
What treatment-resistant depression means
Treatment-resistant depression occurs when depression symptoms continue despite adequate treatment with at least two different antidepressant medications.
You continue experiencing depression despite medication treatment
You've tried multiple antidepressants without sufficient improvement
Symptoms interfere with work, relationships, or daily life
You're seeking additional options under psychiatric supervision
Eligibility is determined through a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, not a checklist — these are starting points for a conversation with our team.
